Matthias Egg is lecturer in philosophy at the University of Bern. His current research is situated at the intersection of philosophy of science and philosophical anthropology, with some inspiration from the history of philosophy and theology. For the M-Rational project, he is investigating how disagreements in philosophy of science can result from radically different perspectives or stances, but nevertheless lead to rational and fruitful dialogue.

I am a PhD student working on the M-Rational project. My take on the project (In German):”Reconceiving and Improving Multi-Perspectivality and Rationality in Argumentative AI (M-Rational) ist ein Projekt, das sich mit der Entwicklung konzeptioneller Ressourcen zum Verständnis von Multiperspektivität befasst. Damit leistet das Projekt einen Beitrag zur Entwicklung von NLP und NLI und vermittelt Philosoph:innen und Linguist:innen ein neues und verbessertes Verständnis davon, wie Multiperspektivität in sprachlichen Aktivitäten zum Tragen kommt.”
